All adults regularly involved in Scouting are cleared by the national
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS - formerly known as the Criminal
Records Bureau or CRB). On the rare occasions that we have help to run
an activity from someone without a Scouting DBS, we always ensure they
are supervised by a leader with a DBS. All leaders are trained in
safeguarding and their training is updated regularly.
All
activities are risk assessed. We do adventurous activities like climbing
and hiking. We have high standards and trained instructors and we will
always make you aware of what's going to be happening. If there are
accidents, we are trained in First Response.
